The Big Dig Construction Theme Park

The Subway Big Dig - Saturday, September 12, 2009, 9am-4pm

The Subway Big Dig is a construction theme park that will allow children a hands-on experience with construction equipment.  The event will include rides on over 50 pieces of heavy construction equipment, including wheel loaders, bull dozers, front loaders, excavators, and more.  Also included are K-9 demonstrations, military vehicle displays, fire-fighting equipment, face painting, making cement handprints, digging for treasures in a ton of sand, safety demonstrations, fingerprint identification, and plenty of food and drink.

Tickets are available at Upstate Bi-Lo stores and on this website.  Theme park tickets are $5 per person in advance, or $7 at the gate.  Ride tickets are $5 each.

Bring a bag of clothing or items to donate to Goodwill and receive a coupon for a free hot dog and drink!

The Big Dig Dinner - Thursday, September 10, 2009, 6pm-9pm

The Big Dig Dinner is a “formal blue jean” affair!  Attendees will enjoy a night of dinner, drinks, music, and silent auctions. This will also be a chance for the adults to ride and operate the construction equipment!

Dinner tickets are $50 each.  The event is located at the Big Dig site in Greer at the Village at Pelham. Tickets are available on this website or by calling 864-351-0123.

Proceeds from the Subway Big Dig and the Big Dig Dinner benefit Goodwill Foundation in their efforts to help people in the community with disabilities and special needs become independent citizens through education, training, and career placement services.
