The Goodwill Big Dig - Saturday, September 25, 2010, 9am-4pm

The Goodwill Big Dig is a construction theme park that will allow children a hands-on experience with construction equipment.  The event will include rides on over 40 pieces of heavy construction equipment, including wheel loaders, bull dozers, front loaders, excavators, and more.  Also included are K-9 demonstrations, military and law enforcement vehicle displays, fire fighting equipment, face painting, cement handprints, digging for treasures in a ton of sand, safety demonstrations and plenty of food and drink.

Tickets will be available at Upstate Bi-Lo stores and on this website.  Theme park tickets are $5 per person in advance (through 5pm on Friday, September 24), or $7 at the gate on the day of the event.  Ride tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the event.

* Bring a bag of clothing with you to donate to Goodwill on the day of the event and receive a coupon for a free hot dog!  One coupon per person; coupons can be redeemed in the concessions area on the day of the event.

Proceeds from the Goodwill Big Dig benefit the Goodwill Foundation in their efforts to help people in the community with disabilities and special needs become independent citizens through education, training, and career placement services.
